OPPO has since established itself as a brand that's a flagship powerhouse. It's warranted that there are high expectations leading to the worldwide debut of the OPPO Find X8 and OPPO Find X8 Pro. In true OPPO fashion, expectations are met – and in some aspects, exceeded.

DESIGN and BUILD:
Flagship devices used to be bulky and heavy. At some point, brands have associated premium quality with a hefty form factor. The OPPO Find X8 steers away from this. Albeit a bit smaller than other entry-level and mid-range devices, its flagship quality shines even more in a slim body that carries high-quality features.
The measurements for the OPPO Find X8 include 157.35mm (height), 74.33mm (width), 7.85mm (thickness), and 193 grams (weight). It's slim enough to easily slide in a pocket and light enough for a comfortable grip.
Truth be told, the OPPO Find X8 bears resemblance to an iPhone – the most obvious cues being its flat sides and rounded corners that surround its oblate front and back. On its rear, the circular camera module accentuated by a Hasselblad branding serves as the aesthetic highlight, coupled with an unassuming OPPO branding at the bottom part.
To prove this point, the OPPO Find X8 has a dedicated slider button that allows users to switch between ring, silent, and vibrate. This is similar to the mute button that's common to all iPhone units.

Other hardware details on the OPPO Find X8 include the volume and power buttons located on the right side, a USB-C port, dual SIM card tray, and a loudspeaker at the bottom, and an IR blaster, secondary microphone, and another loudspeaker at the top.

Its available colors include Space Black and Star Grey which are both eye-catching hues. OPPO planted a special trick on the back part of the OPPO Find X8, giving it the capability to repel fingerprints and smudges. Extra coverage also comes with the free smartphone case which is not the usual clear kind that most smartphones have.

A flagship device is always a multimedia delight. The OPPO Find X8 is a strong example of this. With a bright and beautiful screen plus a boosted audio quality, this device will surely be your binge-watching buddy.

The 6.59-inch FHD+ LTPO AMOLED screen of the OPPO Find X8 is an absolute feast for the eyes. It gives sharp details and vibrant colors that even the boring app icons seem to pop out. There's also an added 120Hz refresh rate for that smooth scrolling experience.

PERFORMANCE:
Running on a MediaTek Dimensity 9400, the OPPO Find X8 soars when it comes to uninterrupted multitasking and gaming. Even with multiple demanding applications running all at once, the OPPO Find X8 didn't stutter when we used it as our main driver for a couple of weeks.
Gaming-wise, the OPPO Find X8 also delivers. Common gaming titles work smoothly even with all the gaming settings available tweaked at maximum levels. One downside that we noticed about the device is that it heats up at some point but not to the extent that makes everything laggy.

Another highlight on the OPPO Find X8 is the newly rolled out ColorOS 15 which maximizes artificial intelligence for convenience. And perhaps one of the best things to come out of this is the "Touch to Share" function which seamlessly and instantly sends multimedia files from the OPPO Find X8 to an iPhone. It's almost similar to AirDrop. For this feature to work, the O+ Connect app should be installed on the receiving iPhone.

With ColorOS 15, the OPPO Find X8 also has a number of volume- and audio-related features as shown below.
Plus, the ColorOS 15 brings a Dynamic Island-like feature on the OPPO Find X8 which provides status and app notifications.
CAMERAS:
The OPPO Find X8 is branded as a camera-centric device with its lenses co-designed with renowned global camera maker Hasselblad. Obviously, the OPPO Find X8 delivers well in this department. It comes with large sensors not only for the main camera but for all its shooters.

Long story short, the OPPO Find X8 is excellent in photography and videography. The strongest indicator for this is how the device manages to take sharp and clear photos even at night.
