In true HONOR fashion, the smartphone brand welcomed a new budget device offering to the local market through a campaign that created another online buzz. The HONOR X7c – in all its waterproof glory – brings another perspective to the brand's durable smartphone lineup. Yes, it's more waterproof than the other smartphones currently available, but what more can it offer? Here's a quick rundown of its features.
HONOR X7c |
It's strong and stylish
The HONOR X7c can be submerged in water for three minutes without acquiring any significant damage. With its IP64 dust-proof and water resistance rating, users are given peace of mind that the HONOR X7c won't give up from accidental splashes or dirt.
This feature makes the HONOR X7c an ideal device for those who use smartphones in rugged situations – like running under the rain or other intense activities where you would otherwise think twice about using your smartphone with worries of breaking it.

Take note that this is an all-angle feature, which means that even when the water enters the HONOR X7c's ports, as long as it's within the recommended three-minute timeframe, it will still work just as it's intended.
Additionally, the HONOR X7c comes certified with a 5-star drop resistance from global testing and inspection certification company SGS Premium. Just like how it's designed to just shrug off water splashes, the HONOR X7c is also armored against unexpected drops and slips.
It's fluid and loud
Considering it's an economical device, it's expected for the HONOR X7c to carry a lower tier display quality. However, HONOR compensated for the 6.77-inch TFT LCD screen in HD+ (1610 x 720) resolution with a high refresh rate at 120Hz.
Usually, budget devices are equipped with only a 60Hz standard refresh rate. With a higher refresh rate on the HONOR X7c, users can expect a more seamless scrolling experience.
Its peak brightness can reach up to 850 nits which is ideal for a visible screen even when used outdoors on a sunny day and can go as low as 2 nits to avoid eye strain in dark environments.
HONOR's new device would also appeal to those who like to use their smartphones as an alternative portable speaker. The HONOR X7c can play sounds at up to a maximum 300% volume levels. One would think that this makes the device more susceptible to cracking audio but surprisingly, the HONOR X7c delivers in this department decently.
It's long-lasting
Apart from being promised to be a long-lasting device when it comes to physical durability, the HONOR X7c is a high-powered smartphone with its massive 6000mAh battery. On a single charge, HONOR claims that the device can play 24 hours of online streaming, 18 hours of online short videos, 59 hours of music playback, and 46 hours of calls. Plus, it's supported by HONOR's proprietary 35W SuperCharge for faster charging times.

An Ultra Power Saving Mode also allows the HONOR X7c to handle 75 minutes of continuous calls even with its last 2% battery.
It's capable from underneath
Alongside a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor and an Adreno 610 GPU, the HONOR X7c operates with a generous combination of a 16GB dynamic RAM and 256GB onboard capacity.
These internals work well in keeping the HONOR X7c a productivity device with other built-in multitasking functions that come from MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14.
It's got a large camera sensor
Despite its budget price tag, the HONOR X7c comes equipped with a 108-megapixel main camera in F1.75 aperture, joined by a 2-megapixel depth camera in F2.4. For selfies, it works with an 8-megapixel front camera.
Capture modes for the rear lenses include photo, video, portrait, night, aperture, PRO, watermark, and HDR photo while for selfies, there's photo, video, and portrait.
It's reasonably priced
Available via Lazada, Shopee, TikTok and through HONOR Experience and partner stores, the HONOR X7c in Midnight Black, Forest Green, or Moonlight White retails for P8,999. Those who will buy the device from November 8 to 10 will get a free HONOR Gift Camping Light Speaker.
