HONOR first announced its partnership with Studio Harcourt Paris, a renowned photography studio known for its iconic black and white celebrity portraits, in 2024 for the launch of the HONOR 200 Series. HONOR's selling point: there's no need to fly to Paris to achieve the distinctive aesthetic of Studio Harcourt, just use specialty portrait filters on newer, higher-end HONOR smartphones.

On the HONOR 400 Pro 5G, various Studio Harcourt-inspired filters are available, leveling up the appearance of portraits with AI working behind the scenes for subject analysis, tone mapping, texture preservation, and other more factors to achieve professional-like photos.

Improved AI-backed videography capabilities

The HONOR 400 Pro 5G appeals to those who are into mobile videography, with an enhanced 4k @ 60 fps support compared to the 4k @ 30 fps recording capability of the HONOR 400.

A higher count for individual frames per second means that the HONOR 400 Pro 5G can capture motion more fluidly, especially when shooting fast-moving subjects like sports, pets, and more.

HONOR puts AI in the picture (or in this case, in the video), through AI-backed video stabilization, exposure and low-light compensation, color and scene recognition, and noise reduction.

Other AI features

With much fanfare from the arrival of the HONOR 400, the Image-to-Video feature found its way to the HONOR 400 Pro 5G. This is a built-in feature on the Gallery app of the HONOR 400 Pro 5G that can transform any photo into a 5-second video, made possible by Google's Veo 2 model. HONOR also maximized AI to add an essential feature on the HONOR 400 Pro 5G – a built-in, industry-first on-device AI Deepfake Detection. With this, the HONOR 400 Pro 5G can warn users in real-time in case the person on the other end of a video call is using deepfake for manipulation. This works by using advanced AI algorithms to scan inconsistencies like pixel-level synthetic flaws, inter-frame continuity errors, misaligned facial features, and unrealistic face-to-ear ratios.
