The Three Pillars of LG's AI-Defined Vehicle
LG’s showcase (#15004, Las Vegas Convention Center) is organized into three distinct experiential zones that transform the car from a transit tool into an intuitive companion.
1. Intelligent Mobility Display: The Smart Windshield Utilizing transparent OLED technology, LG transforms the entire windshield into an interactive interface.
- Contextual HUD: Approaching a red light? The AI displays the remaining wait time directly above the signal.
- Virtual Overlays: In autonomous mode, the windshield can "skin" the outside world—turning a grey tunnel into a lush forest or scattering virtual cherry blossoms across a tree-lined street.
2. Automotive Vision Solution: Safety Through Empathy Powered by LG’s Vision AI, this system uses in-cabin sensors to monitor more than just the driver's eyes.
- Deep Sensing: The system tracks movement, gaze, attention levels, and even clothing color in real-time to adjust the cabin's response.
- Gaze-Based Commerce: If a passenger looks at a digital billboard outside, the system recognizes the gaze and pulls up product info or purchasing options on the internal passenger display.
3. In-Vehicle Entertainment: Personalized Memory & Inclusivity This solution turns travel time into a personalized media experience.
- Memory Mapping: The AI recognizes landmarks and surfaces old photos or memories associated with that location on the side windows.
- Real-Time Translation: In a world-first, the system can translate sign language from individuals outside the vehicle (like restaurant staff) into on-screen text for the passengers.

Why It Matters for the Industry
Unlike many "concept" displays, LG President Eun Seok-hyun confirmed that many of these technologies, including advanced in-cabin sensing and transparent OLED integration, are already in production with global automotive manufacturers (OEMs).
This puts LG at the forefront of the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) era, where the digital experience inside the car is just as important as the engine under the hood. Experience it at CES 2026
