The Google's Android One platform officially reached the Philippines with the introduction of two smartphones from two different local brands, one of which is the Cherry Mobile One.

The Cherry Mobile One has a 4.5-inch display with IPS technology and FWVGA resolution that translates to about 218 pixels per inch. Under the hood is a 1.3GHz quad core MediaTek processor bundled with 1GB of RAM. In terms of storage, it has a generous 8MP ROM plus micro SD expansion slot that can support up to 64GB.

Other specifications are dual micro SIM slots with 3G connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio, 5MP main camera, 2MP front camera and 1780mAh battery. Since this is an Android One device, it runs on the latest Android version, which is Lollipop 5.1.

  1. Please check too if apps and files can be moved/saved to SD card. That way your readers can be informed if Lollipop has resolved the issues that Kitkat had concerning these matters. Thanks.
