| Moto Z Force Goes Official; SD820, Shatterproof Glass, 21MP OIS, PDAF |
Lenovo's Moto Z wasn't the only thing the company made official during its Tech World event. The Chinese PC Plus maker has also unleashed another handset in the form of the Moto Z Force. While both devices have almost the same hardware, the Force variant has a couple of tricks up its sleeve.
It's already a given that the Motorola Moto Z Force is also equipped with a Snapdragon 820 chipset that's paired with a healthy 4GB of RAM. Furthermore, even its display is the same at 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED. Storage variants are also equal to the original Moto Z at 32GB/64GB offerings, which are both expandable via micro SD card slot up to 256GB. However, there are some obvious differences that put the Moto Z Force above the standard Moto Z.

For starters, the Moto Z Force is a bigger and heavier than the Moto Z – its dimensions are at 155.9mm x 75.8mm x 7mm, and it weighs around 163 grams. It's shatterproof now, which adds up to the bulk. Furthermore, the primary camera is now at 21MP with OIS and PDAF. The front facing camera, however, remains the same. On the other hand, the battery also gets an upgrade, which is now at 3,500mAh.
To put it simply, the Moto Z Force is the 'Pro' variant of the Moto Z. Pricing is still unknown at the moment, but it will be released the same time as the Moto Z in September.
