The next iteration of Google’s ubiquitous Android platform has been making waves in the internet and its massive user base when news about it first surfaced. But now that the search engine giant has made things official for a strong list of supported devices, users have become more excited to get the Nougat update as fast as possible. However, since the update will be done over-the-air, it would most likely take some time until it finally hits your device. Thankfully, Google has made the factory images and OTA zip files public for those that don’t like to wait.

However, while that counts as exciting news for most Nexus owners, Google only listed the factory images and OTA zip files for only three devices. Furthermore, it seems it’s the three less popular devices to boot. For now, the HTC Nexus 9 Wi-Fi, Google Pixel C, and the Asus nexus Player will be the first ones to be graced with the files, and there’s still no word as to when the Huawei Nexus 6P, LG Nexus 5, and Motorola Nexus 6 will arrive.

If you know your way around flashing ROMs and you’re comfortable doing it manually, you can head on to Google’s official website for the factory images and OTA zip files and download the respective files for the supported devices. If you don’t want to go through all that hurdle, you can simply wait for the update over-the-air if it happens to be available for your handset.
