This year's Cherry Mobile It's The Season To Be Cherry brings lots of interesting devices, with the likes of CM Taiji and CM Iris, but the list is not yet done, as another enthralling offering is on the way, the Defender.
The Cherry Mobile Defender offers a very compelling feature, being an IP68 Certified. For the benefit of those who are not familiar with International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) certification, the first digit stands for its resistance to dust, wherein 6 is the highest level, which corresponds to being dust tight. Meanwhile, the second digit is for liquid ingress protection, wherein 8 means the device is protected when submerged under water for a minimum of 1 meter depth and at least 30 minutes duration.
Moving on, the CM Defender sports a 4.7-inch HD display powered by a 2GHz octa core MediaTek Helio P10 processor (the same chipset found on Flare Infinity) coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM. It is also equipped with an 18MP AF rear camera, 8MP front shooter, has two SIM card slots with LTE connectivity and runs on Android Marshmallow.
In terms of pricing, it will retail for Php9,999 and comes with free 1 year mobile internet through the bundled Cherry Prepaid SIM.
