| Gionee A1 Lite Now in the Philippines, 20MP Selfie Camera and 4000mAh Battery for Php12,999 |
Gionee, one of the mobile brands handled by CellPrime, the same company who owns CloudFone, announced on their Facebook page their newest smartphone offering in the Philippines, the Gionee A1 Lite.
The Gionee A1 Lite boasts two major features - its selfie camera and battery, both of which are indicated in its tagline Super Selfie, Super Battery. So, let's dig deeper into those things. First, the front camera has a 20-megapixel sensor with an f-stop of f/2.0 and its very own LED flash, this is actually better when compared to its 13MP main shooter, at least on paper. Next is the battery capacity, it has a 4000mAh lithium-ion non-removable power source, the same size with that of the recently announced Gionee M7. It runs on Amigo UI 4.0, which is based on Android Nougat.

Moving on with the other details, it has a 5.3-inch display made of an IPS panel, has 720p resolution, and topped with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, it is powered by slightly ageing, but still capable MediaTek MT6753 octa core processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. This dual SIM handset covers the basic connectivity, which include LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB 2.0, and GPS. By the way, it also has a fingerprint scanner mounted on its rear for added security.
It is now available nationwide, and has an asking price of Php12,999.
