ADATA PC500 5000mAh Power Bank Unboxing and Review: Power In Style |
INTRODUCTION:
Earlier this month, ADATA launched a colorful and stylish power bank named Choice PC500, it has a hefty 5000mAh capacity, 2.1A output current for fast charging capability plus safety features against over charge/discharge, over temperature etc.
UNBOXING:
Unboxing Video
Retail package |
The retail package consists of the unit itself, an 80cm flat USB cable and paper paraphernalia. There is also a free carrying pouch with the same design as the unit.
HARDWARE:
Front |
Back |
The PC500 is available in two colors - pink and blue, both have beautiful patterned exterior, which makes it not just a mere power bank, but also part of your glamorous style. It small squarish figure has rounded edges and it is also quite thin at only 0.6 of an inch.
Control, ports and indicator |
The power button, micro USB input port, LED indicator and standard USB output are all located on one side. The indicator has four LED lights each signifies 25% of power, so if you have 4 lights on it indicates 75-100% charge, 3 lights means 50-75% and so on.
PERFORMANCE:
Although the PC500 has initial power I still fully charge it before testing. I do not know exactly how long it takes to fully charge the power bank since I usually left it overnight. I used a phone with a 2000mAh battery as a subject, the power bank was able to completely charge it twice (5% to 100%) and after doing so there is still one LED light left.
CONCLUSION:
Whether you use your gadget for work or play, their battery usually fails to impress us and that is the reason why power bank is becoming a necessity for people on the go. For some, it is not just a mere tool instead an accessory to show their personality and fashion sense. The ADATA Choice PC500 falls in that category, a powerful external battery pack with style.
