O+ Grande Unboxing and Review, For Your Movie Viewing Pleasure |
INTRODUCTION:
The O+ Grande is dubbed by O+ USA as the Best HD Movie Viewing Phone, it features a massive 6-inch IPS display with HD resolution powered by a quad core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
CPU-Z Info |
According to the box and O+ website, its CPU is clocked at 1.2GHz only, but based on CPU-Z and other benchmark apps, it has a higher frequency at 1.3GHz. It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and has a retail price tag of Php5,995. Speaking of price, we are bit surprise that its SRP is a lot cheaper than O+ Fab GO, around 3K pesos difference, considering the fact that it has a better specification.
UNBOXING:

Retail Package |
The box is the signature white carton with big O+ logo in the front and the picture and the name of the phone on the lower right. It contains the unit, battery, charger, USB cable, wired headset, warranty card and user manual. The retail package also includes FREE screen protector and 4GB of micro SD card.
HARDWARE:
Front |
The front is mainly occupied by the huge display, below it you will find the capacitive keys while above the screen you will find the hidden sensors, earpiece grill and secondary camera.
Back |
The main camera is located in the upper portion, it is accompanied by an LED light on its left. It is also protruding by about 2-3mm from the cover, this means that it is the first part that will touch the surface when you lay the phone on its back. Meanwhile, the loudspeaker grill is placed near the lower right.
Back without cover |
Removing the back cover reveals the 2800mAh Li-Po battery, the two regular SIM slots and the micro SD slot.
Top |
Bottom |
The top holds the 3.5mm audio jack and the micro USB port while the bottom has the primary microphone.
Left |
Right |
The volume rocker is located on the left side while the power button is placed at the right side.
The Grande's overall build material is on the plastic side, it may not look premium, but it also does not look cheap at all. It may not have fancy design, but the mere fact that it is indeed a huge phone is already good enough for a second look. Likewise, the build quality is solid and sturdy that it feels like it would last several knocks and bumps. In terms of handling, interacting with the phone requires two hands most of the time.
