INTRODUCTION:

Firefly Mobile is one of the less popular brand in the local market, but that is about to change, as most gadget enthusiasts are caught unprepared with the release of their flagship device, the Firefly Mobile Intense 64 LTE.

The Firefly Mobile Intense 64 LTE is the company's first on many aspects, it is their first 4G/LTE-capable smartphone, their first Android Lollipop device and their first phone to be powered by 64-bit processor. Yes, the chipset that is ticking inside is a MediaTek MT6732, which has 1.5GHz quad core CPU and Mali-T760 GPU. To compliment with its powerful workhorse is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM.

Apart from the capable internals, it also has lots of useful features, such as adaptive fast charging, USB OTG function and HotKnot.


HANDS-ON:

Front

The front is mainly occupied by the display, speaking of which, it has a 5.5-inch screen with HD resolution, which translates to about 267 pixels per inch for stunning images plus IPS and OGS technology for better viewing angles. Even though it is fully laminated with DragonTrail glass, there is still a pre-installed screen protector.

Above the display you will find the 8MP secondary camera, earpiece grill and hidden sensors. Meanwhile, below the screen you will find the usual capacitive keys.

Back

The back of the phone is made from plastic, it has a rubbery texture and a matte-like finish, which makes it less prone to fingerprints and smudges. At the upper portion, you will see the 13MP main camera accompanied by an LED flash slightly below it. The letters of the Firefly Mobile are engraved in a landscape at the center portion of the back. Lastly, the loudspeaker grill is located in the lower part of the cover.

Removing the back cover will reveal the 2800mAh battery, the regular SIM slot, the micro SIM slot and the micro SD slot.

The microphone pinhole is placed at the bottom right part of the device while the micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack are both located at the top.

The left side has the volume rocker while the right side has the power button.

The Firefly Mobile Intense 64 LTE has somewhat generic rectangular bar design with the top and bottom sides slightly curved. The back, is also arched by a small degree, which gives users a better handling experience. The silver metallic-like lining on all sides and buttons adds contrast to the overall look of the phone. It also has the right amount of heft and feels sturdy too.
