As you can see on the above comparison table, the first generation RIO got the upper hand for being affordable (500 pesos cheaper) and having a removable battery. Meanwhile, the RIO 2 earn plus points for having a newer Android version, scratch-resistant display, bigger internal storage, bigger battery capacity, higher resolution front camera and free Globe SIM with 1 year internet.

In terms of similarities, although they are a year apart, both still have the same MediaTek MT6582 chipset, 5-inch HD display, 8MP main camera, 1GB RAM and connectivity features. With the advantages mentioned above, is it (the MyPhone RIO 2) worth the higher price tag?

The MyPhone Rio 1 is more affordable than the Rio 2. But both still have the same MediaTek MT6582 chipset, 5-inch HD display, 8MP main camera, 1GB RAM and connectivity features. Therefore for it's affordability I would choose Rio 1>
