Android-Powered BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition Goes on Sale |
Before BlackBerry went all out with marketing its first Android-powered flagship smartphone, the Priv, there was the venerable Passport that stood up to the company’s portfolio of mobile devices running BB OS 10. However, most people by then have moved on to where the market really is, and instead went on to something that features Android or iOS as its operating system. Well, if you’re a fan of BlackBerry that you just can’t let it go yet but you still prefer Android over BB OS 10, a Silver Edition BlackBerry Passport running Android is currently on sale.
The Android-powered BlackBerry Passport is up on sale on Kijiji, which is an eBay owned website. According to the owner, the unit came from an employee from BlackBerry, and it doesn’t have any use for them since they work mostly with Apple devices. Should you want to get one, you’re going to have to shell out CAD 260 for it, then you’ll have to handle shipping and taxes as well, so expect the final price tag to shoot up.

Of course, do take note that if you really want your hands on a BlackBerry Passport that runs on Android, you’re going to have to take risks with it. The handset was never actually made official, and as such would probably not be supported by the company should any mishaps and whatnot occur.
