Cherry Mobile unveiled a total of six Flare devices at the recently concluded #FLAREUPTION event at City of Dreams. We already gave the details of the flagship Flare Infinity and the much-awaited Flare X2, now we are here for the Flare S5 Power.
The Cherry Mobile Flare S5 Power, as the name implies, boasts a huge power source, a 6,050mAh non-removable battery to be exact, which is more than twice of the capacity found on other Android phones. If my memory serves me right, it is the biggest battery capacity not only among all CM smartphones, but also from other local brands.
This handset is not just about uptime, it is also equipped with capable internals starting with the slightly ageing, but still very capable octa core MediaTek MT6753 processor paired with 3GB of RAM for multitasking and a 16GB of expandable storage. It also has a fingerprint sensor for added security, 13MP main camera for capturing memorable moments, 5MP front shooter for taking selfies, dual SIM slot with LTE connectivity, and it runs on Android Marshmallow.
In terms of availability, an executive of Cosmic Technologies advised us that it will arrive in the market before the year ends (sorry guys, no definite date yet) for an asking price of Php7,999.
