Motorola Moto G5 Series Coming to Philippines this October 10

Motorola is set to unveil the Moto G5 Series in the Philippines next week, October 10, that is less than three months after they launched the Moto Z2 Play in the country.

To be honest, we are not entirely sure what are the devices that Motorola will bring in the local market, that is because our event invite says only says G5 Series, but Moto' Facebook page teases that the G5s and G5s Plus are coming soon. So, we will just briefly discuss all four handsets that belong in the G5 family.

Let us start with the Motorola Moto G5, it sports a 5-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution powered by 1.4GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB on internal storage, and runs on Android Nougat. The Moto G5 is also equipped with 13MP main shooter and a 5MP secondary snapper.

Meanwhile, the Motorola Moto G5 Plus comes with a bigger display and better internals, which is pretty obvious given the fact that it has a 'plus' on its name, The screen is now 5.2-inch, but it has still the same resolution as its smaller brother. Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset bundled with up to 4GB of volatile memory and up to 64GB of ROM. The Moto G5 Plus' main camera has a slightly lower resolution than the G5, which is 12MP, but it has better low light performance due to brighter f/1.7 aperture.

On the other hand, the Motorola Moto G5s is an upgrade of the original G5. It now has 5.2-inch display, better rear camera resolution at 16-megapixel, and slightly larger 3000mAh battery.

Moving on, the Motorola Moto G5s Plus comes with bigger display at 5.5-inches, however the resolution is still at 1080p. The internals are the same of that inside the Moto G5 Plus, from chipset, RAM, ROM, and battery size. The biggest improvement here is in fact the camera department, wherein it has dual 13MP sensors on its back with 2160p video recording capability, and an 8MP module in the front for taking selfies.

That's it for now, we will update this post or create a new entry once we have a solid information.
