Through the said partnership, commuters can now pay for their bus tickets over the counter at the BusPort using their mobile phones through the PayMaya QR Scan-to-Pay method, or via their physical PayMaya card or any VISA, JCB and Mastercard to purchase bus tickets. Similarly, the same method can also be used in paying for bus seats reservations made through the Araneta Center BusPort website, www.aranetacenterbusport.com.

The Araneta Center BusPort serves the commuting public going to Central Luzon provinces like Dau, Olongapo, and Subic, as well as to Southern Tagalog, Bicol, Visayas, and Mindanao regions.

“For the thousands of passengers traveling from our BusPort, this partnership is a premium upgrade they deserve. We know that cashless transactions will further strengthen our mission to provide convenient and swift service to different kinds of travelers,” said Antonio Mardo, SVP Operations of Araneta Center.
“We’re happy to bring a total ‘cashless’ payments experience closer to the travelers of Araneta Center BusPort. With PayMaya onboard, travelers can worry less on securing and paying for bus tickets–whether it’s online or at the terminal–and start focusing on how they can make the most out of their trip to their favorite Philippine destinations,” said Paolo Azzola, COO and Managing Director at PayMaya Philippines. “The risks of carrying big amount of cash when traveling can now be avoided as PayMaya allows travelers to use their card and smartphone as their wallet,” Azzola added.
