| Google Wifi Arrives in PH Through PLDT; Yours for As Low As Php299 per Month |
With this move, the Philippines becomes one of the first countries in Asia to have the Google Wifi next to Singapore, Hongkong, and Japan. The launch of the Google Wifi is in line with the reinforcement of the Smart Home suite of services.

Made to eliminate all the dead zones at home, the Google Wifi is a mesh networking system that ensures strong and fast Wifi connectivity not just for devices but also for smart appliances. This supports PLDT vision of letting more Filipinos be in the comfort of their own smart homes.

Google Wifi provides seamless coverage at home, solving common issues like dead zones, spotty Wifi connections, confusing set-up processes, and so much more. Parents will also have greater control of their family’s Wifi network, enabling them to spend quality time with their children whenever they want,” said Mickey Kim, Google’s Director of APAC Hardware Product Planning and Partnerships, said.
New PLDT Home Fibr customers can avail the Google Wifi through the Google Wifi Plan 3799 which comes with an unlimited 50Mbps Fibr connection and three Google Wifi points. Existing PLDT Home Fibr customers, on the other hand, can upgrade their plan and have the Google Wifi as an add-on at a price of Php299 for the 1-piece set, and Php799 for the 3-piece set.

Aside from distributing fast connection inside the home, one of the benefits of the Google Wifi is its easy installation process. No need to contact a technician as setting up a new router can be done in seamless steps which can be performed through the Google Wifi app.
The Google Wifi app also lets you see which devices are connected to your network, as well as the amount of bandwidth they´re consuming. You can also set a “Priority Device” to give a certain user more bandwidth and faster connection.
Aside from this, the Google Wifi also comes with the Network Assist feature which automatically scans Google Wifi system points and connects your device to the one with the strongest signal. Considering that this is made for connection at home, the Google Wifi also has an option that allows parents to pause the connection of their kids’ devices to avoid excessive internet usage.
