Pocophone F1 Has “Respectable Performance” on DxOMark

Definitely bang for one’s buck, the Pocophone F1 by Xiaomi successfully impressed consumers with its premium-like features when it was launched in August 2018. Approved for its gaming ability, the device has finally arrived on the DxOMark lab to test its camera performance.

As a quick recap, the Pocophone F1 is armed with dual-rear camera setup composed of a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor, and a 5-megapixel Samsung shooter for depth sensing. The handset also offers 2160p video recording at 30fps. Meanwhile, for selfies, Xiaomi equipped it with a 20-megapixel snapper.

The device delivers a "very respectable performance" on DxOMark, however, it fell short to join the top 20 in their database for smartphone image quality. Nevertheless, it still recorded an overall mobile score of 91 points. It got 92 points for capturing photo, and scored 90 for shooting video.

Meanwhile, it’s impressive that it can slightly go head-to-head with Apple’s iPhone 8, which received an overall DxOMark mobile score of 92.

Right now, Huawei dominates the DxOMark ranking as both Mate 20 Pro and P20 Pro scored 109.
