| Epson Bags PEZA Outstanding Environmental Performance Award |
EPPI conducted numbers of initiatives to save our environment. For instance, it held an environmental drive for high school students, and employee engagement activities such as coastal clean-up and Takbo Para sa Kalikasan fun run.
The company has also initiated machine or equipment automation to lessen energy consumption inside its facilities. Moreover, it installed 3MW solar panels in its factories to prove its commitment on saving the environment.
EEPI is re-palletizing plastic waste, as well, to use it as a raw material in injection molding. This allows them to improve material use and significantly reduce its waste.
“The support of the management in providing resources to implement our environmental activities as well as the cooperation of all employees drive the success of our eco initiatives.” Akifumi Takei, President of EPPI, addressed. “The intrinsic reward that we get as a result of these activities and recognition continuously inspires us to think of better ways to achieve our environmental goals.”

With this, EPPI will automatically bag the Hall of Fame award for Environment by April 2020.
