OPPO Reno Sunset Rose Coming to the Philippines (7/3/19)


OPPO Philippines has teased its new Reno colorway that will be available in the country soon, the Sunset Rose color variant.

Initially available in Ocean Green and Jet Black color options, OPPO confirmed that the standard Reno would be offered in Sunset Rose edition soon. However, the Chinese mobile maker didn’t reveal the exact date of its arrival in the local shores.
In case you missed it, the OPPO Reno sports a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution. It also comes with a unique shark fin-like pop-up camera and an in-display fingerprint scanner to offer more screen area.

Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor, Adreno 616 GPU, 6GB RAM, and 256GB storage. These specs allow the handset to deliver a solid performance when handling heavy mobile tasks such as gaming.

The OPPO Reno is a toned-down model of its more powerful brother, the Reno 10x Zoom. The two handsets almost look identical, but inside, the devices are packed with different offerings.

The OPPO Reno comes with a smaller 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution. To offer more screen area, it features a trendy in-display fingerprint scanner and a unique shark fin-like front camera.

Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor, Adreno 616 graphics, 6GB RAM, and 256GB storage. These make sure that the device can still handle heavy tasks such as gaming.

Banking on its photography capabilities, OPPO equipped the phone with a dual-rear camera setup composed of a 48-megapixel f/1.7 primary shooter and 5-megapixel f/2.4 snapper. For selfies, it is mounted with a 16-megapixel f/2.0 shark fin-like pop-up snapper.

In case you missed it, OPPO recently announced that it will bring its Reno smartphone series to the country. Meanwhile, the Reno Standard Edition has become the center of attention, as its pre-order details were revealed online.

As a quick recap, the device flaunts a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with an FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution. Like the OPPO F11 Pro, it flashes a real all-screen display as it has no notch mounted on top of it. However, it sports a quirkier motorized selfie snapper compared to other smartphones with a pop-up camera. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner, too.

Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor, Adreno 616 graphics, up to 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB storage. Moving on, the handset also banks on its photography capabilities, as it is equipped with 48-megapixel dual shooters and a 16-megapixel elevating front camera.

OPPO has surprised everyone with its announcement that the company will soon launch a new smartphone series tagged as the “Reno.”

Recently, OPPO Vice President Shen Yiren hinted that the brand would have an exciting revelation. Now, the Chinese mobile maker has teased its new Reno smartphone line on its official Weibo account. OPPO also confirmed that it will be unveiled on April 10.

However, the company didn’t reveal much info about the said product line.

The teaser photo flaunts flashy colors, suggesting that it will eye the youth through its refreshing features. Meanwhile, rumors suggest that it might be a gaming series to rival Vivo’s iQOO gaming handset.

A top comment, which belongs to the company account, said that Reno will not be a sub-brand but a new product line.
