With this collaboration, Smart and OPPO will offer the OPPO A5S to Smart, TNT, and Sun users at a discounted price, enabling them to attract more consumers to upgrade to an LTE smartphone. Hence, the two companies will be able to elevate customers’ mobile experience through faster upload and download speeds for video streaming and mobile gaming.

“To ensure that our customers have the best possible experience when they use the Smart LTE network, we are also teaming up with brands like OPPO in making LTE devices more accessible,” said Oscar Enrico A. Reyes Jr, PLDT Senior Vice President for Consumer Business—Individual Group.
“This partnership allows us to give a generous discount of P1,000 to our subscribers. This, in turn, allows more consumers to enjoy a great phone on a great network, that they can use to do the things they love,” he added.

From its original SRP of Php6,990, the OPPO A5S will be offered for only Php5,990. Those who will get the device will also score a Smart LTE Prepaid SIM and data freebies. Upon activation, user will automatically get 1GB, plus an additional 1GB upon loading Php100 within 3 days, valid for 3 days. It also comes with data reward for a year, where subscribers get 500MB for every Php150 accumulated load, valid for 3 days.

“OPPO and Smart have been working together to empower the Filipino market with quality smartphones like the OPPO A5s,” said OPPO Philippines Vice President of Channel Sales Zen Han. “OPPO believes that this takes us a step closer to connecting the world.”

The OPPO A5S features a 6.2-inch IPS HD screen with a notch design, octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, and 13MP + 8MP dual rear cameras. Powering up the device, on the other hand, is a 4230mAh battery.
