DJI has launched its smallest drone yet – the Mavic Mini.

With its light body and compact design, the drone just weighs 249 grams. It sports a 12-megapixel f/2.8 1/2.3-inch camera with a 3-axis gimbal, which can shoot up to 2720 x 1530 at 30p or 1920 x 1080 at 60p. It is also equipped with a 2,400mAh battery that can fly for up to 30 minutes.

In terms of compatibility, the Mavic Mini can work well with Android and iOS devices through the DJI Fly app.

Here are some of its features:

  • Rocket - the drone flies straight up into the air with the camera pointing downward following your subject. Set a height limit of 40, 60, 80, 100, or 120 feet.
  • Circle - it will circle around your subject at a constant altitude and distance.
  • Dronie - the device flies backward and upward, with the camera tracking your subject. Set a height limit of 40, 60, 80, 100, or 120 feet.
  • Helix - the Mavic Mini flies upward and away, spiraling around your subject. Set a height limit of 40, 60, 80, 100, or 120 feet.

The Mavic Mini is priced at USD 399 (~Php20.3K) for the standard versions, while it retails for USD 499 (~Php25.3K) if you want an additional kit.
