BPI revealed that its digital ecosystem is supported by 9 partners with 36 services for open banking and online banking. Through this partnership, BPI can lighten up financial tasks such as loading beep cards or e-wallets, ordering meals or splitting bills, sending and receiving money, scheduling brand appointments, or placing money for investment accounts through a smartphone or computer.

“This digital ecosystem will enable our clients to shift to digital behaviors for their everyday tasks,” BPI Chief Officer Mon Jocson addressed. “Digital transformation is not just about applying technology. It’s also about changing mindsets and culture, from the inside out.”

The nine partners include fintechs and online merchants such as GCash, PayMaya, and Lazada. BPI noted that these are businesses with which BPI has agreed to open up its API and vice versa in order to facilitate transactions of mutual clients of BPI and each of the partners.
