In case you missed it, the telco giant has been sending text messages to its subscribers, who are still using their old and obsolete SIMs, to upgrade their SIM cards since December 18, 2019. Subscribers with old SIM cards were also assured that they will retain their old contact numbers even if they switch to an LTE SIM card.

To know if you’re still using an old and obsolete SIM, you simply have to text SIM Check to 8080. Then, you should go to the nearest Globe Store to get a SIM replacement.

Globe also noted that speed is the big difference between 4G and 3G, as the former brings broadband to your device. The brand claimed that it’s 10x faster than 3G, too. Moreover, Globe said that it will only take a minute to download a five-minute video, while it will take four minutes and more when you download it using a 3G SIM card.

Good news, isn’t it? Share this to your friends who are still using their old and obsolete SIM cards to help them upgrade their mobile experience.
