| Epson Hailed as Number 1 Ink Tank Vendor in PH and SEA |
Under Epson’s vast array of printing solutions is its EcoTank series introduced in the market in 2010. With this, Epson can maintain its ink tank market leadership in 2019 with a 68% market share in Southeast Asia, while an outstanding 74% market share in the Philippines for the same year, based on IDC findings.
Epson’s EcoTank printers bank not only on technology but are designed with minimum environmental impact, thus, contributing significantly to lessened printing-related costs.

The same IDC report also revealed that ink tank printers became widely used in Southeast Asia with 49% of contribution ratio, as compared to ink cartridges (29%), and laser printers (21%).
Epson also secured the top spot in the total printer market in Southeast Asia with 34% market share, beating its rivals in the inlet and laser printer departments for the first time.
According to Epson Philippines General Manager for Marketing Ed Bonoan, Epson will continue expanding its reach to provide efficient printing solutions to its target markets.
“We aim to continually deliver innovation in our inkjet technology for our range of home and enterprise printers that cater to homes, small to medium businesses and corporations, and ultimately, drive growth and business transformation in the B2C and B2B segments,” Bonoan said.
