I'm so thankful that I'm given opportunities to give back to those most in need during times like these. For the first batch, the proceeds from one of my paintings that I sold was used to buy 500 Cherry tablets with free data to students who lacked the resources for their online school requirements. For this recent 2nd batch that was launched last Nov. 9, I'll be tying up with @cherrymobileph to give away another 500 Cherry tablets with free data to more students in need of a device! On her official Twitter account, Heart Evangelista tweeted, "For those who don’t have tablets for online school please dm me on IG... I will be giving away as much tablets as I can 🙏🏻". The said tweet got around 80K likes and 14K retweets. She also tweeted, "I heard having a tablet or computer is a requirement for online classes, so I will do the best I can 🙏🏻 I’m sorry I can’t help everyone, but I will try to help as much as I can," which got about 60K likes and more than 4K retweets.

The tablet she is giving away to students is the Cherry Mobile Flare Tab. It sports an 8-inch IPS HD display powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Photography-wise, it has a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The other notable specs are a 4,000mAh battery and a single-SIM slot with 3G connectivity. It has a retail price tag of Php3,699.
According to reports, she gave away 500 units, which amounts to a total of a whopping Php1,849,500.
