The competition is split into four sub-tournaments due to the circumstances and scope of this year's festivities. Dota 2 has two, and PUBG has two. Teams were allocated to their sub-tournament in advance.

A combined prize pool of $400,000USD will be distributed among qualifiers for the four sub-tournaments, with the winners winning the coveted APAC Predator League Shield as well as Acer Predator items.

The tournament's long-awaited return, on the other hand, isn't the only source of excitement. The storylines involved, including the six teams that will represent the Philippines, complement its much-anticipated return.

The famous battle royale game PlayersUnknown's Battlegrounds is one of the two games that will kickstart this year's league (PUBG). The Philippines will be represented by three teams in the PL 2020/21 PUBG APAC Region. The first is ArkAngel Esports, who had a strong showing in the inaugural PUBG Continental Series last year and hope to continue their winning streak in this year's Predator League. TroubleMaku's brotherhood will also try to win the championship as well as the up-and-coming Gamers Lounge.

Fans of Dota 2 will be in for a treat as the most sought-after teams from across Asia-Pacific play in Dota 2 sub-tournaments. Take pride in TNC Predator's history of representing the country on the international stage. With the additions of Marvin "Boomy" Rushton and Jun "Bok" Kanehara, the team has made a major decision to retain its roster all-Filipino.

Neon Esports is parading its roster of Filipino superstars John Anthony "Natsumi-" Vargas, Erin Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer, and Rolen Andrei Gabriel "skem" Ong, from one dominating Philippine esports team to the next. Reckoning Esports was able to win a place in the tournament, much to the fans' excitement, adding even more spice to the competition.

Predator offers up to a Php40,000 discount on select Predator laptops, desktops, and displays to help promote the Asia-Pacific Predator League 2020/21 Grand Final.
