KP Unnikrishnan is the new chief marketing officer at Palo Alto Networks to strengthen global marketing activities and boost growth in Asia Pacific and Japan.


KP Unnikrishnan (Unni), a seasoned Palo Alto Networks (NYSE: PANW) marketer, has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). He will report directly to Nikesh Arora, the chairman, and CEO of Palo Alto Networks, and will be based in the company's headquarters in Santa Clara, California.

Unni is an accomplished executive with vast worldwide experience. She has a proven track record of supporting companies in formulating marketing strategies and developing convincing business propositions. His most recent post was Vice President, Marketing, Asia Pacific and Japan, which he held for nearly ten years. Unni, a global marketing team leader with a growth mindset, will aim to reinforce Palo Alto Networks' position as the industry's undisputed cybersecurity leader.

Lisa Sim will be the Head of Marketing for Asia Pacific and Japan. She will be in charge of the company's regional expansion strategy, as well as increasing brand recognition and opportunities through an increasing interest in Palo Alto Networks' cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. Lisa has worked with the company since 2017, most recently as the region's head of marketing. She is also in charge of the Cybersafe Kids initiative.

The transition takes place at a time when Palo Alto Networks is well-positioned to help customers embark on a network transformation journey and consolidate their security infrastructures.
