According to Lori Hsieh, Product Manager for Synology Cameras, the Synology BC500 and Synology TC500 are excellent IP cameras for any enterprise or organization. The BC500 and TC500's 5-megapixel sensors give a 110° horizontal viewing angle, 2880x1620 resolution, 30 frames per second (FPS), and smooth, clear video with extensive coverage. Because of their IP67 dust and water resistance rating, 30-meter night vision range, and multi-exposure HDR feature, both cameras are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. They allow users to monitor halls and corridors, large open spaces such as parking lots and warehouses, and varied environments such as museums at any time of day.
Smart camera surveillance powered by AI
The BC500 and TC500, with their powerful on-camera AI capabilities, enable faster incident response by providing users with instant and precise alerts. Thanks to capabilities like People and Vehicle Detection, Intrusion Detection, and Instant Search, users may more effectively identify potential threats, quickly explore areas of interest, and discover and retrieve relevant footage.

Because it is designed for surveillance stations, no device licenses are required.
The Surveillance Station, as well as the BC500 and TC500, are designed to work seamlessly together. In the Synology NAS-hosted environment, you can manage every camera setting and network configuration directly. Furthermore, Synology cameras do not need to be acquired or activated as Surveillance Station device licenses, which simplifies setup, streamlines migration, and lowers implementation costs.
A reliable and secure surveillance method
Synology's latest cameras have failover edge storage, which enables continuous recording in the event of connectivity issues. Administrators may quickly update the firmware on these cameras to the latest security fixes, and HTTPS and SRTP capabilities enhance security and privacy by encrypting the video and data streams.
