Toyota Motor Philippines and PLDT Enterprise Launch Smart IoT eSIM Solutions on myTOYOTA Connect
Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), the country's largest automaker, and PLDT, the country's largest fully integrated telco, have announced a revolutionary collaboration to improve smart connected car technologies and intelligent platforms for Toyota car owners and significant fleet business operators.

PLDT Enterprise's Smart IoT (Internet of Things) eSIM solutions will be integrated into TMP's latest suite of connected services, myTOYOTA Connect, as part of the unique collaboration. This is the first time that such a solution will be used in the Philippines.
PLDT FVP and Enterprise Revenue Group Head Vic Tria, FVP and Enterprise Business Group Head Mitch Locsin, PLDT and Smart President and CEO Alfredo Panlilio, Toyota Motor Philippines Chairman Alfred Ty, Toyota Motor Philippines President Atsuhiro Okamoto, and Toyota Motor Philippines Vice Chairman David Go formally announced the partnership.
PLDT and Smart President and CEO Alfredo S. Panlilio expressed pride in the collaboration, noting that it will "power the changing landscape of the automobile industry to be more 'intelligent,' with newer and smarter solutions." Panlilio also stressed the significance of digital adoption for Filipinos and its ability to create jobs in important economic areas such as transportation.

TMP can now leverage the power of a unified connectivity management platform, allowing users to manage connectivity and monitor usage across multiple IoT devices, thanks to PLDT's Smart IoT Platform. This is backed up by the country's Fastest and Best Mobile Network, according to Ookla.
Toyota automobile owners and fleet company operators now have greater control over their vehicles thanks to the groundbreaking myTOYOTA Connect. Through the myTOYOTA App, users may monitor car location, condition, and driver speed, among other things.
TMP President Atsuhiro Okamoto voiced his enthusiasm for the collaboration, adding that it moves the company closer to its aim of transitioning from an automobile company to a mobility company. The new service is now available in select Hilux, RAV4, Hiace, and Fortuner types via TMP's all-in-one customer mobile platform, the myTOYOTA app.
PLDT Enterprise's Internet of Possibilities program, which includes the Smart IoT eSIM, provides an array of intelligent options in a unified platform, enabling consumers, enterprises, and industries.
