The startup scene in the Philippines is flourishing, with new ventures springing up regularly. Shell LiveWIRE has been instrumental in this growth, bolstering the local business landscape and the national economy by fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and meaningful employment.

On October 12, Shell LiveWIRE celebrated the achievements of tech startups and community enterprises at the Final Pitch Day in Makati City. The tech startup "Farmvocacy" emerged victorious, earning a funding grant worth 1 million pesos.

Farmvocacy, a climate fintech startup based on Mindoro Island, champions climate-smart rice farming through a circular inclusive business model. Vincent Roy Mendoza, CEO of Farmvocacy, expressed his gratitude for Shell LiveWIRE's support, emphasizing the program's role in validating their innovative ideas and their potential to enhance the lives of future generations.

Shell LiveWIRE also acknowledged other noteworthy finalists, including LITHOS Manufacturing OPC, a producer and trader of industrial and feed-grade minerals, and Lycan Motorcycles, a tech startup developing electric motorcycles and smart products.

In addition, six community enterprises were honored during the Final Pitch Day. These enterprises, part of the Acceleration Program, are making significant strides in bolstering local economies through entrepreneurship, innovation, and meaningful employment.

Since its launch in 2020, the Acceleration Program has supported 42 innovators and business owners. Twelve of these enterprises have made their way into the Shell Pilipinas Corporation's supply chain, contributing to the creation of over 500 local jobs for Filipinos.

Sebastian Quiniones Jr., Pilipinas Shell Foundation Inc.’s Executive Director and one of the judges during the Final Pitch Day, urged the innovators to seek collaborative opportunities with other enterprises for the nation's collective success.
