The adventure started on September 13, 2024, when the 7-Eleven Centris 1 store in Quezon City cut the ribbon to mark the start of the journey. People from 7-Eleven Philippines, The Pokémon Company, and Niantic Inc., the company behind Pokémon Go, were at the event.
The celebrations began with a full Pokémon makeover of the 7-Eleven Centris 1 store. Other stores in Makati and Cebu are set to follow suit. To make things even more exciting, all 7-Eleven stores in the Philippines have been turned into PokéStops in Pokémon Go. This means that customers can really get into the Pokémon world by using the app to catch their favorite characters.
For now, some 7-Eleven items will come in boxes with stickers of popular Pokémon figures like Pikachu, Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur on them. The themed packaging will first be sold in shops on Luzon, but it will be available all over the country in October.
Booster Packs for the Pokémon Trading Card Game will also be given away at 1,500 7-Eleven shops in the Philippines. As an extra bonus, every Booster Pack bought from P259 onwards will come with a special Pokémon 7-Eleven Promo Card. Fans will love this as a bonus item to collect and trade.
