Expanding Opportunities for Filipino Professionals

Building on the momentum of its debut, the 2.0 iteration of the program saw its enrollment double, welcoming a new cohort of 27 students. The initiative focuses on delivering high-quality, industry-standard education while maintaining a personalized learning atmosphere.

Participants underwent a rigorous three-day intensive course culminating in the Data Centre Foundation Certificate (DCFC). This globally recognized qualification covers the essential pillars of data center infrastructure and operational best practices. Proving the program's immediate impact, several top-performing graduates have already been integrated into the STT GDC Philippines workforce.

Global Standards, Local Impact

To ensure the curriculum meets international benchmarks, STT GDC Philippines partnered with EPI Group, a world-renowned provider of data center certifications.

Edward van Leent, Chairman and CEO of EPI Group, lauded the collaboration, noting that the program provides a critical entry point for talent. By equipping Filipinos with foundational knowledge that aligns with global frameworks, the initiative ensures the local workforce remains competitive on a worldwide scale.

A Commitment to People and Infrastructure

STT GDC Philippines—a joint venture between the Globe Group, Ayala Corporation, and Singapore’s ST Telemedia Global Data Centres—operates five strategic facilities across the country. While the company continues to invest heavily in physical hardware and uptime reliability, DC Power-Up 2.0 underscores a parallel commitment to "people development."

Melanie Santiago, Head of People and Culture at STT GDC Philippines, emphasized that fostering a future-ready talent pool is essential for sustaining the country’s digital transformation.
