ASUS has come along way in the mobile industry, the success of the ASUS ZenFone series can attest to that, and that level of accomplishment is what the Taiwanese manufacturing giant sees on their latest tablets, the ASUS ZenPad.
In the Philippines, they released three models so far, the entry-level ASUS ZenPad C, the flagship ASUS ZenPad 8.0 (Z580CA) and the star of this unboxing, the mid-range ASUS ZenPad 7.0 (Z370CG).
It has a 7-inch IPS display with WXGA resolutions, which translates to about 216 pixels per inch and has 72 percent screen-to-body ratio for optimum viewing. Not only that, the screen is also covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 1, which protects it from the usual scratches. Powering the device from the inside is the latest 64-bit quad core Intel Atom X3 processor (previously known as SoFIA) combined with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.

The items inside the box are quite modest, apart from the unit itself, you will find the charger, USB cable, warranty card and user guide. The tablet looks classy and does not feel bulky, in fact, you can still grab it with just one hand when making phone calls. Yes, you read it right, it has a SIM card slot, which you can use not only for data, but also for calls and texts.

One of the highlights of the ZenPad 7.0 is having a removable back cover, which you can replace with Zen Case of different colors or with other accessories, such as Zen Clutch, Power Case and Audio Cover. In terms of benchmarks, it scored more than 20K in Antutu, around 8K in Quadrant, 59.1 fps in NenaMark2 and 752 in Vellamo Multicore.
It is now available nationwide in all ASUS concept stores and authorized resellers for Php7,995 and soon on ASUS Online Store.
