Starmobile Teams Up with Smart Communications and Adamson University for Smart “Millenniors” Program |
In partnership with Smart Communications and Adamson University, Filipino tech manufacturer Starmobile has supported the Smart Millenniors Program – a barangay technology education project that aims to teach technology to the elderly.
With the program, millennials taught the seniors about the basics of smartphones and mobile data. They also helped them join Facebook, as social media activities keep them in touch with their children and grandchildren whom they don’t always get the chance to be with.
Members of Smart’s Public Affairs team led the lecture, while millennials from Adamson University’s Computer Science department and Adamson’s Integrated Community Extension Services helped the seniors in navigating their Starmobile smartphones.
The participants used Starmobile devices, including the PLAY and UP series smartphones, which are designed for first-time users, while the large-screen ENGAGE tablets are for users who desire larger fonts and images.
