It has a number of important apps onboard.

For those who didn’t notice, the Huawei AppGallery has been around for some time even, and most Huawei smartphones have it pre-installed. Meaning, for years, it has already been a hub for applications, just like the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

And for an application hub to function well, it must have the needed apps across categories of messaging, social media and networking, gaming and entertainment, as well as productivity tools like a banking app.

Through the Huawei AppGallery, users may easily download a multitude of applications, including social media and messaging apps like Facebook, Snapchat, Bumble, TikTok, Viber, WhatsApp, Weibo, and WeChat. In addition, Huawei has worked hard to bring in lots of popular e-commerce, banking, and finance apps. Some of these applications are GCash, Lazada, BDO Personal Banking, CLIQQ by 7-Eleven, PayMaya, Shopee, Zalora, Agoda, Booky, Carousell, klook, ShopBack, Philippine Airlines, OWTO, Trivago, Booking.com, and Globe Rewards, and Grab.

It’s secure and easy to use.

A seamless user experience is something that Huawei smartphones bring to the consumers. The AppGallery is no different. To download apps, all that’s needed is a Huawei account, which can also be used across pre-installed Huawei applications.

It’s easy and convenient to scroll through the AppGallery, too, as all the apps are strategically-categorized, and its interface itself is made to avoid confusion among users.

The AppGallery also has a ranking of leading apps to give an idea about what other Huawei users have been downloading on their smartphones.

To download an app, all that’s needed to do is to scroll through the categories, or better yet, type the name of the app on the search bar. After that, click on the download button and wait for the app to be fully installed on your smartphone.

For apps that aren’t included in the AppGallery yet, Huawei allows third-party and web downloads. Yes, this might be a concern for some, as it might post some risk. However, the manufacturing giant ensures that there is no need to worry about security and getting your smartphone virus and malware-infected because Huawei has its own built-in security feature to avoid this from happening. Huawei calls it Four-Layer Threat Detection, which ensure apps are secured and free from viruses.

Among the applications available via web and third-party downloads are Netflix,
Maps, Google Chrome, Spotify, JobStreet, Twitter, Line Webtoon, Wordscapes, Instagram, Waze, Duolingo, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC, Facebook Messenger, Microsoft Teams, Kindle, PUBG Mobile, Snapseed, Pinterest, Reddit, Fitbit, SM Cinema, Citibank, AirBnB, LinkedIn, Clash of Clans, Zomato, OneDrive, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Shopping, Facebook Lite, Boomerang, PayPal, Dropbox, Landbank, Skype, and Soundcloud.

Another useful thing to do is to use the web versions of the apps that are yet to be included in the AppGallery. To do this, simply go to the website of the application you want to use, and create a web shortcut by clicking the three dots found next to the URL, then select the ‘add to home screen’ option.

Currently, the Huawei AppGallery is the third-largest application source in the world, with over 400 million active users from different countries.

As mentioned, it’s expected that in the coming months, more and more applications will be included in the AppGallery, more importantly, those that are needed in the everyday digital life of Huawei smartphone users like apps for productivity, mobility, shopping, banking, and digital payments.

As a brand known for innovation, there’s always a room for improvement for a technology company like Huawei, which more often leads to an even better smartphone experience for its users. Despite rumors that falsely claim that a Huawei smartphone can’t function well without Google’s services, the technology company continues to improve and bolster its offering by providing what a digital, and on-the-go user needs.
