The Redmi 9A is being advertised by Xiaomi Philippines as the return of the true entry-level king. But what does it can offer to be dubbed as such?
It has a 6.53-inch Dot Drop display, just like the Redmi 9, albeit the resolution is HD+ or 1600 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. The Helio G25 is basically the same as the MediaTek Helio P22, except that it now has HyperEngine Technology for performance optimization. Yes, that's right, it is just an upcycled chipset.

The other notable specs are the huge 5,000mAh battery, USB Type-C port, and triple-slot card tray.
