Along with the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is also finally made official by Samsung, completing the trio of flagship devices for the year's first half.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra looks pretty much like the Galaxy S22 Ultra, from the design to the position of the cameras, and they even have the same thickness at 8.9mm. But, just like its smaller siblings, there are new tricks underneath the sleeve. One of them is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, which is shared across the triplets. So, where is the most significant improvement? It is in the camera department, particularly the main one at the back. The primary shooter now packs a whopping 200MP resolution with f/1.7 aperture and a slightly bigger 1/1.3-inch sensor compared to just 108MP resolution with f/1.8 aperture and 1/1.33-inch of the S22 Ultra. Users can utilize the full 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor, shoot in a 4-to-1 pixel combination for a 50MP output, or 16 is to 1 pixel binning for a 12MP resolution output. It also offers improved stabilization with the help of Adaptive VDIS and up to 3-degree compensation, thanks to a 2x wider OIS angle.

Meanwhile, the other Dual Pixel PDAF cameras on its rear remain as is - 10MP f/2.4 3x telephoto, 10MP f/4.9 10x periscope, and 12MPM f/2.2 ultrawide.
In the front, there is also a massive change in the camera; it now has a 12MP f/2.2 Dual Pixel PDAF selfie snapper, which is shared with the other S23 series. In comparison, the S22 Ultra selfie camera has a 40MP resolution but not a Dual Pixel type.
