Epson Adds the WorkForce Enterprise AM Series to its Lineup of Business Inkjet Printers

Epson's new Workforce Enterprise AM series includes the AM-C4000, C5000, and C6000 A3 Color Multifunction Printers. This new line of business inkjet printers aims to provide an equally effective and affordable alternative to laser printers by incorporating cutting-edge solutions and a compact design.

A new speed range

The majority of the A3 color printer market is currently dominated by business printers capable of printing 30 to 50 pages per minute. Epson's current A3 color printers are the Workforce Pro Replaceable Ink Pack System (RIPS) Printer, which prints at a speed of 26 pages per minute, and the Line Inkjet (LIJ) Printer, which prints at a speed of 60 to 100 pages per minute. Epson can close the current market gap in the 30-60ppm range by introducing the new WorkForce Enterprise AM series and providing customers with an alternative to laser printing. The availability of newer speed ranges is especially beneficial for corporate offices, where mid-speed printers are typically required for the printing of standard office documents.

Compact Design Improves Performance Capabilities

The AM-C6000 has taken the place of the WF-C20600 LIJ printer. The AM-C6000 has a faster A4 2-sided scan speed, increasing from 110 to 120 ipm. Because it is significantly smaller than its predecessor and weighs 99.4kg rather than 177.1kg, the AM-C6000 can be installed in most office spaces. While the TEC value is reduced from 0.41kWh to 0.25kWh, the panel has been upgraded to a capacitive 10.1'' touch panel.

The WorkForce Enterprise AM series highlights Epson's new solutions for improving customer experiences.

Built-in optical character recognition (OCR)

Users can now create searchable PDFs directly from the device, eliminating the need for third-party software. Users who scan documents directly to shared folders or email recipients will appreciate this feature. Users can use the new OCR option to search for a document in a folder by searching for words or characters. Users will save time and effort by not manually searching through folders to find the desired file. It also has a copy-and-paste feature, which allows users to quickly extract data from documents.

Remover of Red Color (Scan & Copy)

Users can return red-colored annotations or notes from black and white documents to their original state using the Erase Red Color function. This function is ideal for use in educational settings where teachers and students frequently annotate worksheets or take notes with red ink. The Erase Red Color function eliminates the need to manually prepare a separate document by allowing users to scan the original marked copy and digitally erase any red markings to create a clean document.

Epson Print Administrator

Epson's carefully curated print management solution includes secure printing, automatic document distribution, and the prevention of private data leakage. Users must authenticate on the device with an ID card or PIN to use authorized features or release their print jobs. The IT administrator can also set quotas and rules with Epson Print Admin (EPA) to control their printing expenses. Customized reports can be used for both cost management and security auditing.

Improved Design and Finishing Options

The WorkForce Enterprise AM series includes two new finishers: an inner finisher built directly into the central unit and a staple finisher without an external bridge unit. A saddle unit for folding and creating booklets can be added to the staple finisher. Both finishers can support hole-punching with an add-on. The printers have a "softer" shape, with curved edges rather than sharp corners. The 10.1'' capacitive touch panel has a larger screen than previous models and can now be tilted for improved maneuverability. Users can easily identify functions and change the layout of the touch panel with the new Graphic User Interface (GUI).

Optional hardware for expansion and scalability includes additional paper trays, an inner tray, a paper cassette lock, an authentication device table, and Wi-Fi, depending on usage requirements.

Stress-Free Operation

Because new printers require fewer replacement parts, they require less maintenance throughout the product's lifespan. Because they use fewer consumables, printers generate less waste overall. A simple graphical user interface (GUI) combined with remote monitoring via Epson Remote Services (ERS) makes printing simple and convenient.

Power Conservation

The New WorkForce Enterprise AM series of printers are powered by Epson's Heat-Free Technology, which eliminates heat from the ink ejection process. As a result, the printers consume less energy than similar laser printers on the market. The printers also include a green leaf icon to highlight paper savings when printing or copying in duplex mode, as well as a power consumption monitoring tool at the bottom of the home screen.

We are confident that the new WorkForce Enterprise AM series will be a reliable and cost-effective alternative to laser copiers. According to Eduardo Bonoan, Head of Marketing Division at Epson Philippines, Epson WorkForce Enterprise AM series printers are designed to be a staple of the future sustainable office. They incorporate cutting-edge solutions while emphasizing environmental friendliness.

Commitment to Sustainable Technologies

A previously announced 100 billion (or 42 billion pesos) investment spread over ten years until 2030, as well as Epson's reaffirmation of its commitment to Heat-Free Technology and the development of sustainable technologies, coincides with the launch of the WorkForce Enterprise AM series.

The company also stated that it will no longer sell or distribute laser printer hardware in Southeast Asian markets by the end of 2023. According to Epson, the inkjet's ability to make significant advances in sustainability was a key factor in these decisions. Epson will continue to support its customers by selling consumables and repair parts after it stops selling laser printer hardware.

"Epson's printing and innovation solutions have been at the forefront of sustainable inkjet technology for many years." Inkjet printers are more environmentally friendly than laser printers because they use less energy and have fewer consumable parts. According to Bonoan, committing to inkjet printers is a brave first step in this direction. Epson is committed to using its proprietary technology to provide efficient, long-lasting print solutions to our partners and end users.
