The Opensignal report of Mobile Network Experience, published in October 2024, saw DITO clinch victory in 14 categories, thereby cementing its position as the most honored mobile network in the Philippines and the fastest in terms of 5G speeds and overall user experience.
DITO's CEO, Mr. Eric Alberto, along with its Senior Advisor, Mr. Jun Xiao, accepted the recognition from Opensignal Executives Charles Rutstein and Rob Lerner on March 5, at the Opensignal booth.
DITO Surpasses Smart to Become the Philippines' Speediest Mobile Network
DITO Telecommunity, the fastest-evolving telecom provider in the nation, has demonstrated its prowess in providing superior 5G speeds and overall user experience. The independent analytics firm Opensignal has crowned DITO as the Fastest Mobile Network in the Philippines, outpacing Smart in the speed test.
Opensignal's October 2024 report revealed DITO's dominance in 14 categories, affirming the nascent telecom's position as the most acknowledged and quickest in terms of 5G speeds and overall user experience.
DITO claimed victory in all four speed categories, both overall and 5G. It showcased its supremacy in 5G download speed, recording an impressive 287.2 Mbps, which is nearly twice as fast as Smart's 147.5 Mbps and significantly faster than Globe’s 95.2 Mbps. Users also witnessed the fastest overall download speeds on DITO's network, averaging at 34.6 Mbps, with Smart and Globe lagging behind at 28.6 Mbps and 20.9 Mbps ,respectively.
Pierce Snyder, Sr. Market Research Analyst at Opensignal, confirmed that Filipino users enjoy the fastest speeds on DITO's network.
Furthermore, DITO was recognized as the top mobile network for overall and 5G Video Experience, Games Experience, and Voice App Experience. These awards measure how users enjoy seamless standard-definition video streaming, gaming, and quality over-the-top (OTT) voice services.
